It is very important to be aware of the fitness of the players on the surface on which the match is played.
Example of Asian tennis handicap
Suppose we are dealing with a match on clay, between Alexander Zverev and the Chilean Christian Garin.
I will choose, after a rigorous documentation, the option “Christian Garin Asian handicap of + 4.5 games in the match with Alex Zverev”, at a rate of 1.80, at Roland Garros.
Although the difference in the ranking is a few dozen places, I know that the Chilean Garin is a typical clay player, his results were wonderful on this surface.
I also know that Zverev is very tall, he is 1.98 meters tall, he doesn’t like slow surfaces, because here he has to slip, to move sideways very quickly, to bend his knees countless times.
And he is very tall, his fast movement cannot be at maximum levels on clay.
The chosen option gives us a winning bet even if Zverev wins the match in a minimum of sets, with the score of 7-6, 7-6, 7-5. The difference of the games won is four in this case, which makes my option, the Asian handicap +4.5 games, to be a winner.
With the help of the Asian handicap, we thus benefited from a very valuable odds, which, for a simple victory of Zverev, would probably have been 1.35-1.40.
